if the impedance was off, you'd have low audio but something would be there. 
What it might be is, does the mic need power to work? and did you make sure 
it's getting it? Some of those mics need power to the element. Was the mic 
working before? Also, what was the problem with the heil mic? it wasn't the 
same was it?
