I know next to nothing about these amps.
but, from the conversations I have had with a number of experienced high dx 
point station operators, 1800w out of a 220 on ssb can only be accomplished 
with  modifications.
they're rated for legal output, 1500W ssb and anything beyond that requires 
modification from what they told me.
Typical is far less even on peaks.
I would think if you get 1k out on cw, then you would be lucky to get close 
to that on peaks with SSB.
just my two sents, and it might not even be worth that hi.
