Thus far, I have 40 contacts, with only a total of 2 hours of operating 
time.

Half of them have been on cw, the others on ssb.

My best DX has been VE2, PJ7, VP2M, and KP4, as reported earlier.

My closest local contact was about 100 miles southeast of me, but I also 
worked a station near Mobile, Alabama, at about 180 miles.

It's actually a VHF contest, but I only have 6 meter sideband, so I'm only 
writing about 6 meters.

If you have a 6 meter rig, fire it up tomorrow, and listen on 50.125, or 
50.130. If the band opens, you will know it by listening there.
