Hi Jerry,
One way to determine if it's the power supply is to perhaps connect the
radio to a battery. You could even use a small gel cell for receive only
purposes. Then if you unplug the supply and the noise goes away. you will
know. Personally, I doubt it's the power supply. It could be your computer
or another noise source out of your home. Try completely unplugging the
computer as a start as well.
