I've been kicking around this irritating article since I read it 
yesterday.  I haven't written the author yet...I'm waiting for my 
irritation to reach critical mass.  The point that I keep coming back to 
in my head--yeah, I talk back to the voices there ;)--is that it really 
doesn't matter if people are ditching gluten on a whimsy.  Really.  It 
doesn't.  There's no single nutrient in wheat that can't be replaced by 
one food or another with a little effort.  And no one has ever died of a 
gluten deficiency.
