Perhaps, but problem is cost of providing 800 service and tying up a single
line for long periods. More practical for this person might be to go to the
library where they have all that stuff on tape or he can use the screen
reader there.
Currently, Tel-WWW provides news headlines and stories.
Tell him to dial 1-877-576-8932 (toll-free), then enter PIN 8323632 which is
the 4 minute demo PIN. After entering the PIN, at the main menu type:
2-1-2-2 (without the dashes of course)
That gets him to a headline/story retrieval page.
If that's useful, we could maybe work something out price-wise that would
cover the cost of the 800 number and the line usage charges.

I am writing for an acquaintance who is elderly and becoming blind. He is
not into technology, but would love to read newspapers.
I seem to recall NFB or someone having a newspaper reading service by phone
via an 800 number.
Does anyone have info on this?
