Probably because those damned things are the biggest pain in the ass
going!!!! They are one of the main reasons I don't go into downtown
Brattleboro unless it is absolutely, positively necessary. By the time I
have gotten the damned ticket onto my dashboard I have either A. forgotten
why I went in the first place, or B. lost the desire to shop and just want
to go home.

I am sick and tired of towns whining about the lack of shopping in the
downtown area and all going to the shopping plaza, with its convenient FREE
parking, yet they continue to sock it to anyone who dares venture downtown
to do any shopping or business. I say free parking in downtown is the way
to go. Ruth

Why don't you/they use muni meters? Pay at a robostation, print out a
receipt and put it on your dashboard. No numbers-on-granite required.
