Dear AAM and AWA brothers, sisters and community,

The Cameroonian community is sad to announce the death of Papa Tchamakam Vernant, father of our brother Jean-Christopher Chamcheu. Papa Tchamakam passed away on Monday August 22, 2011 in Kumba, Cameroon at the age of 77. Peace to his soul.

We are deeply moved and grateful for the outpouring of love and kindness you have shown since Jean-Christopher received this sad news. Your calls, messages, visits, food, beverages, and your prayers have been a great comfort during this difficult time. Thank you.

2 gatherings are planned in Madison to celebrate Papa Tchamakam Vernant's life and comfort his family before Jean-Christopher travels home for the funeral. We hope you can join us.
