Those are good signs and good news. Maybe he'll get sprung out on the
weekend or beginning of next week.

You don't have to give loved ones the same old gift: card, candy, flowers,
etc. They're worth a gift that's as uniquely individual as they are.

Subject: Grandson #7 report
Little Everett was transported to a new room on the next floor up from ICU
today. They put him in a padded neck brace that is much more comfortable
but he keeps taking it off. He has dialed the hospital phone, from memory,
a couple of people. I can't even remember my own cell number most of the
time. He talked to his grandma, Sandy, on the phone today and Sandy says he
sounds like his old self. No mention of when he might come home but it
can't be too long now. He still have a sitter around the clock to be sure
he stays down and doesn't try to walk out of the hospital. Today he said
that he did not fall off his skateboard so there is more memory to come. I
was standing on the landing after leaving my office and before climbing the
3 steps to the kitchen leading out of my office the other night. I stopped
on the small landing because I felt something. To be more precise, it was
what I didn't feel. I stretched out with my feelings and began to cry. I
realized how empty the house felt without my grandson not at home. If he's
not here; he's working at Macdonald's. Speaking of Macdonald's, he was also
complaining yesterday that he isn't making any money sitting in the hospital
so that's a definite sign of well being I would say, haha.
Phil.
