I haven't checked MS's site on how long they'll be supporting Vista, but
I suspect it won't be around nearly as long as Windows XP has been.
Vista wasn't very popular, XP got extended due to the popularity of the
Tnetbooks and Windows 7 was rushed out early due to the bad PR Vista
got. I'm responding to the statement below:

For my part, I wouldn't spend the money upgrading from Vista to Windows
7. I'd invest that $120 into a new system and get Windows 7 with that
new system.
