Your comment spawns another question in my mind:  once the average blind 
person play with this for a bit, how many will be willing to listen to 
this for reading purposes.
My hunch, when all is said and done and given the numerous reading 
alternatives, not all that many.

It most definitely is a major step in the right direction; but then again 
it is less than most will be willing to deal with especially for personal 
or pleasure reading/listening.
