A quick look at specs on Newegg seems to show 2 184 pin slots, standard memory PC3200 DDR. I wonder if it's looking for 2 faster chips instead of 1 (266)?

Subject: [PCBUILD] Fw: Memory ??
I'm confused about RAM speed. The board is GOAL3+, the OS Win2kpro. The CPU
came with the board, an AMD Athlon64 3200.The book says FSB 800Mhz. In the book
memory it says supports DDR 333/266 memory bus. From BELARC the CPU is 2.2Ghz
and the bus clock is 200Mhz. I have a 1Ghz/266 stick in there and it hangs on the post.
It starts with the name & press DEL for setup, a looong pause, then the list of ports etc.,
then a black screen with a flashing I cursor, long pause, the 2k's line for startup and we're away.
Does anyone have a chart of CPU speeds & recomended RAM speeds, fill me in on using
the correct RAM card. Thank you for your help, Al Smith
