I drink three to four cups of Starbucks every day and have always had a perfectly healthy review on my cholesterol.
Jest sayin',
Bren :), who doesn't believe all the BS with the cholesterol levels anyway, but different topic...
"bird of thought.
After experimenting, I find that the least or no ill effects come from organic Colombian, starting with green beans, light roast, medium fine grind.
I assume that this could be from a minimum of phyto-estrogens, and least use of insecticides."
I would worry more about the acrylamides inherent in roasting any starch such as that found in coffee berries ( called beans because they are not really edible raw - like most legumes).
Secondly, depending on brewing method, I would worry about cafestrol which causes very high cholesterol levels such as those experienced by Stefansson when he drank boiled coffee during his all meat studies in New York.
