You did not say "how" it blew out...

If it was near a lightning strike, and was not damaged right away,
that generally "weakens" things electronic and makes the life much
shorter than normal...  (But only sometimes...)
I'd use everything that still worked, but I would be careful not
to depend on those items for any really important stuff...
