I received this today and thought it was very helpful.
here are also a ton more! You can go to www.yelp.com - choose chicago as
the city, and then type in "gluten free" in the search. I've lived in
Chicago all my life and have found some great new places from that alone.
Don't forget Chipotle is all gluten free (except for the soft tortillas).
This place "Ina's" in the west loop as a gluten free fried chicken dinner
the first or second Wednesday of the month, Swirlz bakery in Lincoln Park
has gluten free cupcakes for his sweet tooth, etc. There is also a gluten
free dinner being hosted on June 29th at Carnivale. More information is
here:
Tickets are $50 per person and be purchased by calling (773) 665-0430 or by
going online at www.lisacooksallergenfree.com. Use code THRIVE0910 and save
10%.
Oh! And I'm sure you know, but Starbucks has a gluten free treat now too.
And Jimmy John's has lettuce wrap sandwiches (unwiches) that are great too!
If he's been gluten free for a while, I'm sure he knows the tricks of the
trade on how to order at "normal" restaurants, but it's also fun to eat out
somewhere that offers pizza and breads too!
