in the send tab under plain text settings you will find a check box which says indent the
original text with when that box is checked, you will see a combo box and the default appears to
be the greater than sign. uncheck that box and that should clear up the greater sign issue

Subject: Off topic Outlook Express Question

Hi, folks.

This question has been driving me nuts for quite some time, and I have yet
to get a satisfactory answer from those I have asked.

So, I thought I'd tap into the wisdom of the group here.

Whenever I forward an e-mail in Outlook Express, the forward has "greater
than" signs scattered throughout the message.

Does anyone know how to get rid of those "greater than" signs in e-mail
forwards?

Is there a setting I can change, or something I should be doing before
forwarding the message in order to prevent this problem?

Thanks, and 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
