I learned touch typing on a large-print typewriter in my junior high
school's sight-saving-class homeroom. The process began with putting the 2
indesx fingers on f and j and then typing fgjhfgjhfgjh over and over, going
on later to things like rtuyrtuyrtuy... and vbmnvbmnvbmn and years later
to 45766457645764576....
Once you're used to these basic keys, you can go on to practising things
like the the the the and and and, being sure always to use the proper
finger for each key.
