Hi Daniel,
I'm not sure if it will do exactly what you want, but MathType from
Design Science http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/ may well do
what you want. It is a low cost add-on for Word for Windows.
The Duxbury Braille Translator is able to import Word files containing
MathType 6 and convert to math braille. It is essentially using the
LaTeX which MathType produces.
I'm happy to char further off list if you'd like more details or have
other questions. ([log in to unmask])
George.

Subject: [VICUG-L] MS Word to LaTex: Any accessible solutions?
Hi folks,
Does anybody know of any accessible application / plug-in that will
convert a Microsoft Word document including equations into LaTex and,,
if possible, in the opposite direction?
The challenge I'm facing is that I need to come up with a solution for
handling teachers' hand-outs for Math written in MS Word. And, as you
probably know, the equation editor's symbols are not readable using a
screen reader. So, any thoughts or suggestions from this list would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Daniel Gartmann
