Not sure if this will work, but try pressing control E. That's the hot key
to open the internet explorer search dialogue.

"Subject: [VICUG-L] Desperate for help getting rid of Bing
"
"Hi all,
"THe subject line pretty much sums it up. For the past few weeks, my
"computer is being possessed by Bing -- Microsoft's stupid new attempt to
"compete with Google. Whether I click on a link in an email message, type
"in
"an url from the Run control, or launch internet explorer, four time out of
"five, the first page that opens is Bing! It's driving me crazy! Usually,
"if I close it entirely and then re-launch, I get the site I was actually
"seeking, but this morning, it just won't go away.
"Any advice on how I can make it leave me alone will be greeted with deepest
"gratitude!
"
