Hi everybody:
Any thoughts you have about the following will be really appreciated as I am
oh so struggling.
My Windows XP OS really seems to have slowed down, so much so that it is
taking something like forty seconds for a folder to open.
I had a file corruption problem recently and Windows XP was reloaded. Now,
every time I try to load hardware/software e.g a Brother Label Printer the
computer just goes crazy, JAWS is not responsive and many many more quirks.
I have been downloading and installing Windows updates and periodically my
braille printer and HP printer work fine.
What I am writing to ask is if anybody knows of a diagnostic tool that I can
run to see what the heck is going on. Any thoughts at all would be helpful
as I am going to have to lay out money for a new machine if this one
functions no better shortly as from time to time it becomes virtually
unuseable.
Please help, you guys have helped me out so much in the past. I have
service pack 3 for Windows XP incidentally and am running jaws 7.0.
Thanks very much.
DOREEN TYLER.
