Hi Steve

I think what you are looking for is Paste Special which is an option on
the Edit menu. I do not remember which option.

The idea is that you can copy either the formulas or the values, but
once you find the Paste Special function, you have to decide which
option you want. Choosing the values option will copy the current
values without any formulas to update the data. Sometimes that is
indeed what you want.

Hello Steve and others interested in this thread.

It is your basic windows copy command. control key + c

Move to the cell you want to copy then press control c then move to an
empty
cell and paste control v.

This will also copy the text or numbers in a cell with a formula
without
coping the formula.

I am a user of ZoomText, Excel 2003, and VISTA 64 bit.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Excel Question

Hi All,

I am totally stumped. I am using JAWS 10, Windows XP, and Excel 03. I
have
several cells with text and formulas in them. I know there is a
keystroke
just to copy the text, but I can't remember it for the life of me.
Does
anyone know what this keystroke is to copy the text, but not the
formula?
Thanks in advance for your help.
