Hi Bill:

Ctrl+n opens a new window. Ctrl+o is what you use to go to a new
website. Or, of course, you can use alt-D.

Not sure, but I think control O is the command specifically to open a
new window. To go to a new web site, the jaws command is alt D which
puts the cursor on the address line. Then you can either edit what is
already there, or overwrite it.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Problem with IE7

Hello:

I have a client who is a JAWS user, running JFW 9.0, Windows XP
Professional with Internet Explorer 7. He's got a very peculiar
problem.

When he brings up IE, then does ctrl+o and types in a website he wants
to visit followed by enter, he hears "New Browser Window." This is
followed by a blank screen. He never gets to the website he's trying to
get too.

He turned the pop-up blocker on and this did not make a difference. He
had a program called Igoogle and has removed it from add/remove
programs. He does not have the Google tool bar installed.

Does anyone have any other ideas of things he can check? Is there a
setting in IE7 that may be causing this behavior?

Thanks in advance,
