National Assistive Technology Technical Assistance Partnership PROJECT
ASSOCIATE RESNA, an interdisciplinary association for the advancement of
rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology is looking for an
individual to fill a full-time position on a federally-funded grant. The
grant provides technical assistance and information to assistive technology
programs funded under the Assistive Technology Act of 1998, as amended.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: To plan, coordinate and carry out activities that
will assist states implement their State Plans for Assistive Technology that
includes state financing activities, device reuse, device loan and
demonstration as well as training and technical assistance, public awareness
and coordination and collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES:.
Coordinate teleconference, webinars, meetings, conferences and workshops on
behalf of NATTAP.. Identifying and organizing information to be
posted on project's web site. Analyzing and synthesizing information
and writing summaries, reports and articles. Representing the project
at meetings and conferences. Coordinate the development of materials
that can be used to respond to requests for information.. Responding
to requests for information from state assistive technology projects and the
general public. Additionally, this position will entail other duties as
assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Superior writing and
communication skills as well as organizational skills.. Knowledge of
disability issues and programs helpful.. Proficiency with computer
applications especially Microsoft Office and electronic communications..
Willingness to work as part of a team but also independently; flexible and
able to work on several projects at the same time.. Previous work
