Hi,
I just received my NLS player and I copied a book I had downloaded to an
external USB disk drive, which has its own power, and I was able to connect
it to the NLS player and listen to it. After I finished the book, I
disconnected the drive from the player, connected it to my BrailleSense Plus
and deleted the book. But when I connected the drive to the player, the
book was still there. I had to connect the drive to my BSP and format it,
erasing everything I had on the drive. Then, I connected the drive again to
the NLS player and the book was gone.
Question: Do I have to format the drive every time I want to delete a book?
Would it have made a difference if I had used my PC to delete the book?
If I buy a cartridge and copy a book to it, will I have to format the
cartridge every time I want to delete the book?
I tried to call my library, but the woman answering the phone said I had to
talk with my reader assistant and all I could get was her voice mail. I
didn't leave a message because she isn't very bright and I had no confidence
in her ability to answer my question. So, I'm asking you, since hams are
known to be the most intelligent people on earth, (grin).
