Well, for those of you who don't know, or who missed it, we had a record 27
check-ins for this afternoon's cross-country blind ops net. The net ran for
an hour and 27 minutes.
I hope folks had as much fun as I did, just hearing the variety of people
and locations that were represented.
On the net this afternoon, Bob (K8LR) suggested that we try an echo-link net
sometime, for those who can't seem to get into our HF net festivities.
I got to thinking about the echo-link possibility, and would like to propose
that we keep doing the SSB net as usual, now that we are finding 20 meters
to work much better, but maybe have the echo-link net at some other day and
time? I'm willing to continue holding down the fort on the SSB net, but am
thinking that it would be good if someone else with a particular interest in
Echo-link could spearhead the echo-link operation.
This way, we'll have two nets, and two ways to talk with each other.
I'd be curious to know what everyone else thinks.
