Yeah, Cliff Wanzer was a ham in the Spokane area. I think that was a
T-network tuner modeled on the Ultimate Transmatch article in QST.
I bought my Icon 751 from his dealership when it was still in business. He
was a real nice dude.

Back in the late seventies, I owned a roller inductor 3 KW tuner called a
Wonzer, although I believe it was spelled, Wanzer, Z4 manual tuner. Man, I
could tune absolutely anything. I tuned once a 3 foot piece of coax laying
on my desk and talked to a guy across town. I sure miss that tuner. I made
the mistake of selling it to a guy years ago but it was the best tuner I
ever owned.
