What you can do is set the lower band limit in a memory, that way on most
bands, if you stop hearing people, you just don't talk unless you're sure,
unless they won't go out of band, the TS-50 won't transmit out of band
anyway unless it was modified. I don't know the TS-430, soes that have the
signal generator to have the tone every 25 KHz or so? if so you can go off
that to a point. That's how I get around on the TS-830 when I use it.
