    Hi, all.

I just have to respond to the cane topic here.

Call me old fashioned, I guess, but I still like the old aluminum folding
canes with the double elastic inside the aluminum pieces.

I am not an extremely heavy-duty cane traveler, but bought a few of them
from either A F B or Independent Living probably about 10 years ago, and
keep on using them.

I think the brand name was something like Hy-core, but don't laugh if I
screwed that one up badly.

Does anyone use those any more?

I have two folding canes which I hardly use. One is too long for me. I
bought it from Braille Institute L. A. many years ago. When I ordered it
over the phone, the man predicted I'd probably order one that was too long
and I would have to send it back. His prediction was right, but I didn't
think it was worth sending back.
