Well, now I'm going to show my ignorance.

Where and how do you get the software for the TS480, and what kind of 
programming cable do you need?

I guess I didn't think the software and cable were used as commonly with the 
TS480 as, say, with the TMV71A.

You learn something new every day.

Anthony,

You can do much more with TX and RX equalization with the software than you
can with the presets in the radio.  I know that doesn't matter now that you
no longer have the radio, but Tom might find that information useful.
