Hello Listmates-

I read the recent study involving the introduction of gluten to infants who are at high risk for celiac. They suggest waiting until after 12 months. Of course, more follow up and research has to be done but I kept my son mainly gluten free for the first year of his life after reading an article on the human body's ability to digest wheat. The article basically said that the human body is not able (regardless of family history of celiac) to digest wheat until after the age of two. Now for the life of me I can't find this article and I have had several people ask me about this including my sister who is having my one year old nephew going thru allergy testing right now. I don't want to be passing out bad information. Does any one know of what I'm talking about and where articles that reference this may be found? I thought I had bookmarked the article but it is no longer there........

Thanks!
Amy
