I'm posting on behalf of a friend.  She has a son who is experiencing swelling below his outer lower lip.  It burns, stings and swells.  The pediatrician put him on an antibiotic thinking it was an infection.  The dermatologist thought it was chapped lips and the allergist is doing skin and blood testing while putting him on Zyrtec to avoid additional discomfort.  The parents feel that the allergist is the first to try to get to the root cause.  Has anyone else had experience with this?  If so, any advice or thoughts?

Thank you,
Linda
