I know that a lot of us have trouble with Vitamin D; that it can give some of us symptoms that are as bad as anything we ever had before being diagnosed.

Well, about 10 days ago my rheumatologist gave me a suggestion and I tried it and so far it's working great. I thought I'd tell all of you about it.

I take 400 IU softgels (I buy Solar brand), which are capsules with the Vitamin D suspended in oil inside. I take the capsules, cut the ends off, and squeeze the oil into a glass of milk. I do this with three capsules a day (1,200 IU). I've been doing this for about 10 days now and I have not had any negative results.

In the past, I would take vitamin D and I would be fine for a few days and then I'd get nausea and sometime also diarrhea so I'd stop taking it until I felt better; then I'd start the whole cycle over again. I know that many people can't afford to stop taking it (like women with osteoporosis), so I'm hopeful this will be a solution for other people.

PS: Please don't write me with your ideas about how to take Vitamin D. That's really not why I posted this. I just want people to know about what it seems to be working for me. Thanks for understanding. RP
