What this thread illustrates is that one of the beauty of Windows is that 
often there are multiple ways of accomplishing a desired task.
No one approach is really better than another; although at times -- and 
this is gained from experience -- you develop a sixth sense as to what 
might get the job done best in a given situation or for a given intention.
