Hi Howard,

First press the function button and then the tuning knob.  The function 
button gets you out of menu mode again.  Function is the second button from 
the left on the bottom rowe of buttons on the TMV71A.

I can't remember how to get in to the menus.  It sounds like you press vfo
and hold the button.  That is supposed to get you in to the menus, then you
turn the tuning knob to select the menu you want.  I think I have it wrong
however.  What am I missing?
