I also am not sure if this coidng system that we are referring to is
applicable here in the US.  I think here, the products usually have to
be properly labelled or you can call the company if you are concenred.
And I've actually done this before.

But acting like this is some sorta conspirracy by the companies to hide
this info from people, and only a select few know it?  That's what I
was questioning.

Surely, even if the company says "animal fat", people would want to
know exactly what kind of "animal fat" it was, and if they said cow and
sheep fat, well, then it's no longer on the Muslim anymore, the
responsibility would be on the people who provided this false info, if
not in this world than in the next.
