I think there is a misunderstanding of how libraries work. I can actually
go online, and quote purchase quote a book from Barnes & Noble, but I can
go to a library and borrow the same book for free.
I expect that libraries will be available for as long as people would
rather borrow a book for free, rather than purchase it.
Since the NLS works on the same method of lending books for free, and
since the blind tend to have less disposable income than the sighted, I
expect the NLS will last much longer than public libraries, which I
believe will last a long time.
Lastly, the NLS is not ceasing production of books, just cassette books.
