My understanding is that this unit was made specificallly for those that
do not have computers but are in receipt of their books and magazines
in daisy and on CD's from their libraries. It was to allow for these
folks to use the stream instead of the victor Readear Classic or Pro...
For those that have a PC it would not make sense to purchase something
like this.

The documentation or advertising that was sent out said the CD unit was
specifically designed to work with the stream. Any other CD player may
not work with the stream.
Could someone explain to me the advantages of having a CD player
connected to my stream? It sure would cut down on its portability.
