these things.
What does "Eraser" do that Right-Click, Delete doesn't do? I have heard
of most utilities like this, but Eraser is new to me.
As far as the age of your machine goes, many machines last a long time-I
have a friend still using a Windows 3.1 machine and my dire predictions
don't bother him at all.
It's true, however, that computers have a finite life span, so keep your
backups up to date.

This is an update from what I had posted in July when I had
"right-click" trouble. I would like to thank everyone for their support.
It has taken me this long to finally figure out my problem. It seemed
like I searched forever to solve this problem. It the end it was well
worth it. 

It was something that I have been using called "Eraser" to delete files
when I "right-clicked". I had been using this for awhile and did not
have any problems until I think I had a Windows Update. 

Nonetheless, by deleting "Eraser" I know longer have the "right-click"
problem. When I went to the "Eraser's" web site, I found out that there
was a "freezing" problem. I really do like the program/application so I
will in the meantime, check back to their site periodically to see if
their problem has been fixed. 

I consider myself a novice computer user. By having this problem, I have
learned a lot from what I have received from everyone. I had learned a
lot about my computer. I did buy a new mouse and I feel it was a good
investment since it does work better than the old one. Thanks again for
all your time and consideration you have given me. I can now relax and
"right-click" without stressing.

And, as old as my computer is, I will still keep it unless it
misbehaves. I sometimes have to remind my husband about that, too.
