The stars must be interestingly aligned this week, bringing out this "dance
hall" preservation story from Vancouver, BC to accompany the Texas item.
Today this notice appeared by e-mail today from Heritage Vancouver. For
decades from the 1960s, the Penthouse was famous as THE PLACE for high class
power and sexy doings by politicians, big money, mob bosses and wanabees.
Even today, the very name remains iconic in British Columbia. This notice
does not say if the dancers are originals restored for the event or modern
replications.
