Hi Harry,

There are 2 things that you may want to try. One, while you are still on the webpage you are trying to copy, press SHIFT+INSERT+2 to find out what is selected. You can press the CONTROL key to shut JAWS up if you do not want to listen to the entire text. Then go to Word and paste it. JAWS may be the one not working and may not speak anything. I have encountered this in other versions of JAWS. After pasting the text in Word, press CONTROL+A and the press INSERT+2 to read all text. I hope one of these suggestions help.

Subject: [VICUG-L] still can't copy to clipboard and paste in!

Hi all,
Harry here.
I'm using a gateway laptop, running windows xp home edition and jfw 10.0.
I'm trying to copy an article from the web to ms word.
I am using IE 7.
I go to the article on the web then select all with control a then hit control c to copy the article to the clipboard, then close IE then open word, then hit control v and it doesn't paste in.
I tried another suggestion which was to press control a to select all, then hit alt e for edit, then down arrow to copy and hit enter, then open word and paste it in, and it's still not there.
Now here's the weird part. I can copy text and paste text in within a document in word, like a test page, if I write, this is a test".
What is going on here? If I don't have my clipboard, I'm ruined as far as computing is concerned.
Harry
