I am working to get a go kit created and one item of interest is antenna
to go into it for my Kenwood handheld.

I have the standard duckie plus a Diamond SRH 320A Antenna. Would a j
pole be worth getting or would what I have do in local emergency situations?

Next question, I want to test the duckie against the above antenna
during our local weekly net and see if there is much difference? Would
there be any harm in swapping the antennas with the radio on? Thanks.
