The Victor Stream, but save up your pennies, for it costs a tad more than
$250. I think the best price you'll find for a new unit now is $327 with a
1GB SD card from our place, Mee Inc.
As an aside, if you are willing to wait a bit longer, and maybe save up a bit
more cash, the Booksense ought to be a strong competitor. I'm thinking
seriously of getting one. They have two models: one with 1 gig of memory
built in; the second has four gigs built-in plus an FM radio. Both of them
are expandable with SD cards, have a robust sound recorder capable of
recording in real formats like mp3, with various bit rates instead of the very
limited 8-bit wav format that the Stream uses. Both those devices will be
able to play NLS, RFB&D, Audible and Bookshare books. The Booksense uses the
Eloquence speech technology which will sound a lot nicer on texts than the VR
Stream built-in text-to-speech.
Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

Hello to all,
I am trying to remember the name of the product that you can use to down =
load books from places like the L C web sight. I know some one told =
me that you could down load the QST and read the articles you wanted and =
not have to go through the whole thing.
I was thinking that is what I might get with the 250 rebate we are =
supposed to get.
I think that is what I heard it cost.
