Well, this is Part 1.

After I got my General, actually Conditional at that time, at age 11, I 
received a Johnson Viking Invader boat anchor.

I had a nice QSO on 40 meters from here in Michigan to a guy in Eastern PA, I 
don't remember where now.  But, we talked for almost an hour.  I didn't 
realize until the end of the QSO that he'd gotten my name wrong.

At the end he said "Well Eve, this has really been an enjoyable QSO.  Your the 
first YL I've had the pleasure of ragchewing with."

For the next ten years, I think I operated 95% CW.  Lol.
