Hi all,
I've been eating paleo for a couple of years now, but without calculating
percentages of macronutrients and weighting food.
Now I'm tryng to be more accurate, but A) I'm missing something B) I can't
do the math C) a+b.
Here's the situation: based on my body weight and amount of exercise my
total calories need is around 2400 per day. Protein need 130gr per day (20%
of the calories needed), which to add to the total calories would mean 200gr
fat (75% of the calories) plus the residual 10 gr of CHO (circa 5%).
Ok, let's assume an average generic meat has 20% protein and 10% fat. To
meet my protein needs I should therefore ingest 650gr of meat, which means
65gr fat. This leaves me with 135gr of fat which I don't know where to get
from. 150gr of coconut oil each day?
I know there's meat with a higher fat content, but can one eat bacon every
single day?
So where do you guys get your fat from?
Thank you so much
