The noble savage ideology is the work of privileged white European male
scholars of a few centuries ago, themselves tool for colonial imperialism -
making 'other' savage, noble or not, establishes an agenda for rule and
exploitation justified as "the white man's burden." Sounds like domination
of middle eastern oil resources today!
