Could someone please explain to me if there is is relationship to cancer and
thyroid and cortisol?

Only to say there might be a connection to cancer and lack of iodine. Dr.
David Derry wrote a book called, "Breast Cancer and Iodine" that explained the
relationship.

Derry said iodine served its function in the thyroid gland, and then any
excess would go to places needed for immunity. If one took lots of iodine, in
most cases, the thyroid would soak up what it needed for a time and when it was
saturated, that's the point the iodine would go to other places. Also, I don't
remember it all but there's a relationship to connective tissue, and Derry
talked about how important proper functioning of the thyroid and iodine were to
this.

A pituitary tumor could cause both adrenal and thyroid insufficiency. One
reason TSH could be low or normal and a thyroid problem exist.
