Last fall, I went on tapazole (40 mg) for hyperthyroid. Within two
months, my thyroid levels were normal. My doctor told me to come
back in four months. Well, after three months, I was feeling horrible:
tired, weak, depressed, etc. Went back to doc early and found my
thyroid levels were significantly BELOW normal -- in other words, I was
HYPO thyroid. He told me to stay off tapazole for the weekend, and
then to go back on at 20 mg. a day. Has anyone had a similar
experience. Does this advice make sense? I'm not feeling any better,
and afraid of feeling worse still.
