Welcome to 2009! Here are a few government web sites with information pertinent to this month, Courtesy of the Memorial Library Government Documents Librarian.

Info on winter parking rules, snow and ice removal from sidewalks, christmas tree removal, and winter activities (for example, as of today, the only outdoor ice rinks open are Tenney and Vilas).

Wisconsin launched a new 511 Traveler Information System for traffic and road conditions:

Memorial Library's tax pages (soon to be updated) are at: http://www.library.wisc.edu/guides/govdocs/taxes/main.htm

Oh yeah, we had a presidential election this fall. Only 18 more days to see how the George W. Bush White house site looks: www.whitehouse.gov (well, it is being archived, too) The official website of President-Elect Obama is http://change.gov/

And for info on Inauguration Day...
