hi I had asked if anyone knew of restaurants in the Cape Cod-Boston
area that would be safe for celiacs.
here are the responses I received with thanks,
Hearth n Kettle - call and make a reservation and talk to the manager
and then tell the server when you arrive. Several in the area of
Hyannis and Plymouth
Boston - Ahmrhein's - chef was accomodating, food excellent and
reasonably priced.
Hyannis - Spanky's as well as the Black Cat both excellent
Plymouth - East Bay Grill
Chatham - Chatham Fish/Lobster Company, sometime have gf rolls.
Osterville - wonderful ice cream at 4 Seas, (Osterville tradition)
Wimpy's lovely meal made gf
Other places were able to accommodate them by making changes to the
regular food they prepare. They didn't get glutened once in a week.
The B&B hostess Debbie at High Pointe Inn in Barnstable said when come
to bring my gf pancake mix and she would make them for me.
I would love it if anyone knows of a Health Food store or grocery
store that have gf foods in the Hyannis or Plymouth area.
Thank you and I will let you know how we survive the week when we
return in the middle of Oct.
Lynne
