Hi Suntou,
You see, if you live in a desert, you wake up one morning to find lots of cattle herders flocking into the desert to grace their cattle, you must ask the questions Suntu is asking. I had these questions long ago but never thought they would make any sense to anyone. I was wrong. I think it is high time the government hault issuing new licences for new banks and take some time to monitor the activities of these foreign banks. The government should sought the expertise from US and Britain who have enormous experience in bank frauds and other forms of financial crimes like money laundering.
Among the many things i suspect these banks may be doing is
1. Printing foreign currencies like Euro, Dollar, Pound, in large numbers and flooding them in to the economy, thus crippling an already weak economy
2. Engaging in drug trade and trafficing by ensuring that consignments are labelled as raw cash, when the item being transferred is actually concealed drugs between banks across international frontiers
3. It is no secret that the name nigerian is synonymous with "419" ( code in Nigerian law discussing frauds and how to fight them) , which incidentially connotes a scam. It is therefore prudent that you not only ask the cattlemen how will they graze their cattle in the desert, but you must constant monitor them to confirm that the cattle are really grazing on sand and dust.
